Mouse Use
Board editing is done using mouse in GOWrite. Left and right mouse buttons perform different operations.
One-Button Mouse
In one-button system the only button acts as left button. META (or ALT) key together with mouse button simulates right mouse button.
Left Mouse Button and Editing Tools
Left mouse operation depends on editing tool. Editing tool can be selected from left hand panel
Click with Left Mouse Button
Single click adds new object into board.
Drag with Left Mouse Button
Drag can be used to move objects in board. Typical use is to correct mis-placed stone to correct position.
Dragging has following steps:
- Left mouse button is pressed over (selected) object.
- Mouse is moved until object markers are in desired position.

Mouse button is released.
Some notes on dragging:
- If drag starts from selected object, all selected objects are moved.

If drag does not start from selected object, then object is both selected and dragged.
Double Click with Left Mouse Button
Double click edits label, if one is present in location. Note that double click cannot be used if single click does something else that selects for editing.
Right Mouse Button
Right mouse button performs same editing functions always. Operation does not depend on editing tool.
Click and Drag with Left Mouse Button
If right mouse is clicked on selected item(s).
- Clicking shows pop-up menu.

Dragging moves items in board.
If right mouse is clicked on unselected position:
- Clicking selects items in position. If control key is hold pressed at the same time, new selection is added to old selection.

Dragging from selects area. If control key is hold pressed at the same time, new selection is added to old selection.
META (or ALT) key together with mouse button can be used to simulate right mouse button if your mouse has only one button.
Double Click with Right Mouse Button
Double click with right mouse button searches for move or label in selected location.
