Hi.

I have a problem with GOWriteME.

I'm running it on a Blackberry 8800 with OS v4.5.0.174. The Version of GOWriteME is the only available from the website 0.7.66. The problem occurs on both provided versions.

Description:
While opening files from the internal memory or sd-card I get the message:
Game read error
sgf error: internal error:
java.lang.NumberFormatException:
Then the program falls back to main menu.

I also got this error once by saving a file with a long filename. Saving short filenames is working.

It would be great if this problem could be solved since GOWriteME seems to be the best sgf-editor for blackberry.

Best regards.

Hi,

Thank you for report.

Have you tested http://gowrite.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=712?
Even if problem is still present there, I would like to fix it in this version, as this new code is much more maintainable.

regards
Lauri

Hi,

thank you for the quick reply. I'm sorry to say that the version you linked works worse.

If I try to open a file I get the same error es before. Unfortunately with this version saving doesn't work either.

Here the error is:
File IO Error: Encoding ISO8859-1 not
found

Hi,

I think I fixed problem in new version.
But I am not sure about java.lang.NumberFormatException, as I could not identify reason for this; but I tried to catch exception to contain problem.

http://gowrite.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=712 contain this new attempt.

regards
Lauri

Hi Lauri,

thank you very much for the great support.

I did a little testing with the version you linked and everything seems to work fine. The errors reported before are solved. I'm sure some Blackberry owners will be happy about this.

I also will link this version in sensei's library (http://senseis.xmp.net/?Mobilephone), which is the place where I heard the first time about this software.

Best regards.
